The Colle delle Finestre has become very well known to cyclists with the north face which is considered one of the hardest climbs in Europe for a length of 18.6 km over 1700 m in altitude, with an average gradient of 9.1%, almost constant on the whole route and the last dirt section up to the top to make it even more difficult. The ascent of Colle delle Finestre has been covered 4 times by the Giro d’Italia.
