Comfortable and and ideal summer & winter location, the B&B Cascina Genzianella apartments (named after the Gentian flower) are set in the beautiful gardens in the Italian Alps near the border with France. A former farmhouse, it has been converted into comfortable bed & breakfast apartments of various sizes and is surrounded by a garden for relaxation and sunbathing.

With 10 apartments, we offer you the chance to base yourself in the stunning Alps for a holiday exploring the wonderful great outdoors – whether you prefer to be skiing or snowboarding in winter to summer road cycling on the big mountain cols, hiking the pathways of the Cottian Alps, mountain biking on hundreds of kilometers of trails or simply relaxing and sightseeing in this beautiful part of the world.

We have ten apartments, including 5 studio (one-room) apartments and 5 two-room apartments with separate sleeping and living areas.
All apartments are furnished in handcrafted wood and are equipped with a small kitchen, with hob, oven, fridge.
The ground floor apartments have direct access to the garden, those on the first floor have a balcony overlooking the garden; all are equipped with televisions.
We supply our apartments with towels, sheets, cleaning materials for the kitchen and courtesy kit for the bathroom.

Ski & Snowboard
We are close to 4 Vialattea ski resorts (Sauze d’Oulx, Sestriere, Claviere and Montgenevre) plus Bardonecchia and, should you wish to drive a little further, Serre Chevalier, Orelle & Val Thorens, Mont Cenis, La Grave and Puy St Vincent are all within reach.
Close to the Genzianella there are hundreds of kilometers of mountain bike trails for everyone from beginners to experts not only in the close-by ski/summer resorts of Sauze d’Oulx, Sestriere, Bardonecchia and Montgenevre but throughout the Gran Bosco Natural Park. In addition, e-bikes, downhill and mountain bikes can be rented or serviced.
What better way to see the mountains than on foot? There are many marked trails for all ages and abilities through the forests, on the mountain tops and through beautiful high alpine pastures. In spring, summer and autumn this is a favourite activity for many people who want to experience the fresh air, peace and beauty of the alpine environment.
Many of the great Tour de France and Giro d’Italia climbs can be found within striking distance of the B & B Genzianella. Along with the classics of Col della Finestre, Col d’Izoard, Col de Sestriere, Col du Galibier, Col du Télégraphe and the Col de la Madeleine, the 1986 Giro d’Italia final stage climb of Oulx to Sauze d’Oulx is right at our doorstep and the stage 19 of the 2018 Giro d’Italia went through Oulx to Monte Jafferau in Bardonecchia
Whether by 4 X 4 or motorbike, there are hundreds of kilometers of dirt roads and tracks through the stunning Cottian Alps including Colle delle Finestre, Colle dell’Assietta, Colle del Sommeiller, the Jafferau road and the Colle del Chaberton, Alps, and generally throught he upper Susa valley.

For day trips, places to see, markets, nature and history, the Susa Valley has it all. On our doorstep is the Gran Bosco Natural Park and a chance to exploring the paths and trails, maybe seeing some of the wildlife and stunning Alpine flowers. The area has numerous forts, frescoes and historic sights and the towns of Susa and Briancon (in France) are a short distance away. Turin is an hour and a quarter away by train from Oulx.
